They are seeking an experienced attorney with expertise in renewable energy project finance and M&A transactions to join their legal team as their Assistant General Counsel.. Lead Legal Support for Project Finance : Serve as the primary legal advisor on all aspects of project financing, including debt, tax equity, and construction financing for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.. In-house counsel experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have established relationships with power and technology sector companies, along with technical expertise leading multi-media environmental permitting, NEPA, and large-scale capital projects in Mid-Atlantic and/or eastern states. This position will primarily focus on providing environmental permitting support for renewable energy, electric transmission and distribution projects, and midstream oil and gas projects but may also involve other sectors. Develop and implement strategic business/action plan, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand our Capital Project Delivery (CPD) service area and client base in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern states and surrounding area. Serve as a key member of the “core” technical and commercial team to drive growth across the CPD service lines (environmental impact assessment, land planning, and facility siting & permitting). Established relationships with clients and potential partners (e.g., EPC companies) with buying centers in the Mid-Atlantic and Eastern states.
