We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented EHS Coordinator to support and strengthen the Environmental, Health, and Safety culture at our manufacturing facility. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining site-specific EHS programs and policies in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc. Support environmental compliance efforts, including waste management, chemical inventory, air/water permits, and sustainability initiatives.. Assist in emergency preparedness planning and drills.. Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred

Under close supervision, this position performs routine tasks to provide operational and general maintenance support at a water or wastewater treatment plant, wastewater collection, water distribution systems facility, stormwater pump station, or remote stormwater facility, and work in teams to assist with more complex tasks. Wastewater Treatment Plant: TCEQ Class D Wastewater Operator License. Must obtain the appropriate TCEQ Class C Wastewater Treatment Plant License before Class D License expires. South Austin Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) receives wastewater flow from Austin Water Utility's sanitary sewer collection system and treats it before returning it to the Colorado River. This Associate position requires employees to obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator License from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) within one (1) year of employment.

Master’s Degree preferred in Urban Planning; Sustainability; Climate Change; Resilience; Public Policy, or related field or equivalent experience.. U.S. HUD CDBG-MIT planning experience..
