The ideal candidate is passionate about protecting public health and the environment, willing to acquire necessary certifications as progressing in career including Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). State and/or nationally recognized certifications for asbestos, lead, and radon are desired. This position would be part of a very skilled team that performs airborne exposure monitoring, contaminated site air monitoring, noise monitoring, indoor air quality surveys, asbestos and lead based paint surveys, safety audits, and other activities. As a Staff Industrial Hygienist under supervision, you will conduct field observations, area monitoring, exposure assessments, indoor air quality assessments, and assist project managers with industrial hygiene inspections. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related science field.
Yorke’s CEQA/NEPA practice currently focuses on preparing the Air Quality, Greenhouse Gas (GHG), Energy, and/or Noise Technical Reports and/or sections of IS/ND, MNDs and EIRs, but we are expanding our services to prepare CEQA/NEPA studies which encompass the full range of CEQA topics.. CEQA/NEPA experience ideally with Air Quality/GHG or Noise, and one other related core CEQA section (Traffic, Odor, Energy, Transportation, Biological resources, or land-use);. Preparing technically sound and legally defensible analyses and environmental impact assessment documentation, including technical writing, quantitative analysis, review, and quality control, in compliance with CEQA and NEPA;. Under general supervision, the Air Quality Specialist within the Compliance and Enforcement Division is a field inspection position that conducts a variety of field tasks to ensure that stationary sources of air pollution within the Air District's jurisdiction comply with applicable Federal, State and Air District air quality rules and regulations.. Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities are at the front line in experiencing the impacts of climate change and ecosystem loss.. The Sustainability Officer manages a portfolio of initiatives and projects in support of the University of California, Riverside Office of Sustainability which includes close coordination with the Academic Sustainability Faculty Lead. The Sustainability Officer reports to the Campus Architect/Associate Vice Chancellor for Planning, Design, & Construction (PD&C) and is responsible for assisting in positioning UC Riversides as a national and global higher education leader in sustainability..
