Member of an associate team with the responsibility for performing tactical and strategic buying activities to support on time delivery and overall part readiness in support Manufacturing, Engine Assembly and MRO. Support of cost, sourcing, and supplier management functions in the Purchasing Department. Supplier communication and follow up to support on time delivery for manufacturing, engine assembly, maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) and facility needs. Ability to problem solve and make decisions to support hardware disposition and expediting to achieve on time delivery. Work with Engineering (HGPU) and Suppliers to accomplish process improvement goals in support of on time delivery. The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, and safety shoes are required.
The Procurement Manager is responsible for the planning, directing, and coordination of the procurement of indirect categories.. They will also be responsible for sourcing, tendering, due diligence and negotiating contract rates and terms and conditions.. This is a managerial position, but incumbent will also need to manage their own procurement and sourcing for high dollar value, complex and strategic contracts.. This includes coordinating the Due Diligence process to have a holistic picture of a vendor's offerings, solutions or software including strengths and gaps.. Oversee and support the Purchasing part of the Procure to Pay process including ensuring that vendors are registered, requisitions are raised, and purchase orders are issued for related categories.
