This individual will collaborate with Dr. Carmen Canavier on computationally intensive projects and will be expected to develop collaborations with other LSUHSC faculty that require the successful candidate’s computational expertise. These collaborative efforts are expected to result in extramural funding.
Required qualifications:
Proficiency in Neuron and/or Netpyne Software Packages
Excellent Python programming skills
Proficiency in working in the Linux Environment
Proficiency in utilizing HPC clusters and SLURM scripts
Experience with large scale neural simulations and bifurcation analysis of the genesis of oscillations is preferred but not required.
