Helicopter Mechanic

Location: Mesa, AZ

Duration: 12 Months assignment

Shift Schedule: 4/10 Mon-Fri (5 am to 3:30 pm)

Job Description: • Regular and predictable attendance is required• Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.• Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.• Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications.• Assists with performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).• Daily tasks include repair, modification and or assembly of AH-64 mechanical components.

Required Skills: • Requires proficiency in reading and writing in English along with the ability to pass certification classes including Torque, Safety Practices, Mixing and Sealant, and Precision Measuring Equipment to name a few.• Candidates must be computer literate to follow work instructions, record maintenance and labor activities.• Must be able to lift 35lbs and remain standing for extended periods of time.

Preferred Skills: • Previous AH-64, or similar aircraft experience is preferred. Education/Experience• Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).
