The Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech is responsible for conducting sleep studies and diagnostics to assess sleep disorders. This role involves setting up equipment, monitoring patient sleep sessions, and recording data for analysis by medical professionals.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and calibrate sleep study equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
Monitor patients during sleep studies, adjusting equipment as needed to ensure optimal data quality.
Record and analyze sleep patterns, noting any irregularities or issues.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all procedures and results.
Qualifications:
- Valid RPSGT certification is required.
- Proven experience in conducting polysomnography or sleep studies.
- Strong knowledge of sleep disorders and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to operate complex sleep study equipment reliably.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
