This role plays a vital part in hospital operations, infection prevention, and patient satisfaction by ensuring timely, safe, and efficient support services.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Prior porter, housekeeping, environmental services, or hospital support experience preferred
- Healthcare facility experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and proper waste handling
- Understanding of infection control principles preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform duties throughout the shift
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, if applicable
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to maneuver carts and equipment throughout the hospital
