Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid ESI triage, comprehensive nursing assessments, focused reassessments, and pain assessment and management
- Conduct sepsis screening and interventions, stroke screening and interventions, and support trauma level 1 and 2 activations
- Provide pediatric emergency care, behavioral health crisis intervention, and MCI response
- Administer medications, blood products, and assist with procedural sedation
- Perform or assist with IV insertion, blood collection, EKG, defibrillation, wound care, sutures/staples, and splinting
- Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR within a 40-bed ED averaging 145 patients daily at a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of current Emergency Department RN experience
- Active RN license requiredBLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC required (PALS will be accepted in lieu of ENPC)CPI Blue Card required
- Preferred Experience / SkillsTrauma Level 1 or Level 2 facility experience
- Prior experience with Meditech EMRCPI certification
- Team-oriented, motivated, and experienced ER nurse with a strong patient care focus
