Memory Care Qualified Medication Aide (QMA)

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: The Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in our Memory Care Neighborhood supports the health, safety, and well-being of residents in our specialized memory care neighborhood.  In this role, you will provide medication administration, resident monitoring, documentation, and person-centered care while helping create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for older adults with dementia and memory-related conditions.

Key Responsibilities: Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with state regulations, physician orders, and community policies. Provide compassionate, person-centered care through dementia-informed practices to support the residents' dignity, independence, and quality of life. Monitor residents for changes in health, behavior, and well-being, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the nursing care team. Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, physicians, pharmacists, and families to ensure exceptional resident care and continuity of services. Utilize effective dementia-focused communication techniques to support residents with cognitive impairment and behavioral changes. Deliver hands-on personal resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining support as needed. Qualifications  Active and unencumbered CNA and QMA certifications as required by the state of practice.0-1 years of relevant experience preferred. Previous caregiving, hospitality, customer service, senior living, healthcare, memory care, or related experience preferred. Must be willing and able to complete the Trilogy Legacy Dementia Education Program during orientation and annually thereafter, as well as maintain competency validation.
