What You'll Do: As a Customs Entry Writer, you will serve as a trusted resource for both customers and internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and import requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Process import entries and documentation through the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal. Process ACH duty payments accurately and efficiently. Manage and respond to CF28 and CF29 requests for information. Review, analyze, and validate import documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements. Maintain accurate records in accordance with Customs regulations and company standards. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues quickly. Serve as the primary customs contact for assigned customer accounts. Respond promptly to customer inquiries and drive issues through resolution. Maintain and manage customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) databases. Ensure compliance with CBP requirements and customer-specific import procedures. Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers by providing customs brokerage expertise and guidance. Demonstrate a strong understanding of customs brokerage processes, best practices, and operational procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a high level of accuracy, service, and on-time performance. Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
  • Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, supply chain, customs brokerage, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of import documentation, customs entry processing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Customs licensing or customs brokerage experience is a plus. Experience working with CBP regulations, ACE, HTS classifications, and import compliance processes.
