Production Machine Operator

Job Summary: Operate and set up printing, inserting, sorting, and production equipment in a high-volume production environment. Adjust machine settings and respond to equipment error messages to maintain production efficiency. Perform quality inspections to verify accuracy, quantity, and compliance with production order tickets. Manually prepare mail by inserting documents into envelopes, affixing tags, and packaging expedited mail. Operate presorting equipment to identify damaged mail, separate defective pieces, and request reprints. Sort completed mail into designated bins for postal distribution. Support production, safety, quality, security, and continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-train on multiple production machines and equipment to support operational flexibility.
