Lead Special Education Teacher Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide educational instruction to assigned students in a structured classroom environment designed to promote intellectual, emotional and social growth.
  • Develop teaching plans that are appropriate to the ages and populations served, specifically children and adolescents (ages 3-21 years) with emotional, developmental and/or behavioral needs.
  • Supervises ABAC#s.
  • Schedule and Salary Information:
  • Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pmPay range- 72-90k per year, depending on experience and education.
Requirements: Enrolled in Master's Degree in Special Education. Ability to float every 90 days and at the end of the year and working on Master's Program in Severe Special Education. Annual salary increases are based on good job performance and availability of appropriate funding. A valid US driver's license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old. Prefer at least two (2) years experience with specialized populations. Advanced skills in educational and clinical services. Works cooperatively with all members of the multidisciplinary team (Nursing Services, Vocational Services, Clinical Services, Residential Staff, Allied Health Services), families and other.
