Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable

Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are working with an established organization seeking a Accounts Payable accountant to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has developed a strong foundation in accounts payable and is looking to expand their responsibilities into general accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. The ideal candidate understands the accounting behind accounts payable, including debits and credits, general ledger activity, and how transactions impact the financial statements.

Key Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle accounts payable activities across multiple business entities. Process vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and payment runs. Ensure accurate expense coding, approvals, and general ledger postings. Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash-related accounting activities. Prepare AP-related accruals and reconcile balance sheet accounts. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 reporting. Resolve vendor discrepancies and monitor outstanding payables. Assist with audits, internal controls, and accounting process improvements.
