Provides direct care to psychiatric inpatients under the supervision of a licensed nurse in a dual-role capacity that combines the responsibilities of a Patient Care Technician and Mental Health Technician. Supports patient safety and well-being through continuous monitoring and observation, fosters therapeutic communication and positive patient relationships, and assists with activities of daily living and basic physical care. Performs additional validated skills and duties as delegated by a licensed nurse in accordance with organizational policies and competency requirements Required Certification/Licensures: BLS (Basic Life Support)CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred Patient Care Technician - preferred

Current EMT certification or Paramedic license (Emergency Department positions only).If the candidate does not have experience or training in sterile technique, urinary catheter insertion and removal, or IV saline lock removal, the BayCare PCT Course and all required competencies must be successfully completed within ninety (90) days of hire
