Full-Time Home-Based Physical Therapist

Work Environment: This position offers an onsite work setting that is primarily home-based. You will travel to various patients' homes across Tampa, providing a unique opportunity to see individuals in their own environment. This setting allows you to assess the patient's conditions within the context of their daily living circumstances, enabling you to devise practical and tailored rehabilitation plans.

Key Responsibilities: Develop individualized treatment and care plans based on thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, goals, and preferences. Utilize evidence-based practices and independent clinical judgment to implement effective rehabilitation interventions. Deliver hands-on therapy including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and use of modalities to manage pain and restore function. Maintain clear, continuous, and supportive communication with patients and their families regarding treatment progress, home exercise programs, and any barriers to recovery. Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously in compliance with regulatory requirements. Actively participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and align on treatment approaches with multidisciplinary colleagues. Patient Population / Client FocusYou will be working closely with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Your role involves empowering patients to regain their strength and autonomy while providing moral support and motivation throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required. Must hold a current Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in physical therapy or a related healthcare environment. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. A commitment to excellence and providing patient-centered care in all aspects of practice.

Preferred Experience: Experience in home healthcare settings is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to assess patient needs in a personal context. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits: This position offers an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
