A well-established multi state cannabis operator in Fall River, MA is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead day-to-day production operations within a high-volume manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing a team of approximately 25 employees across two shifts while ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience from food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, cannabis production, or another regulated manufacturing environment and enjoys developing teams, improving processes, and creating accountability on the production floor.
Duties & Responsibilities: Lead and manage a production team of approximately 25 employees across two shifts, including frontline supervisors Oversee daily kitchen and production operations to ensure schedules, production volumes, quality standards, and operational targets are consistently achieved Coordinate staffing, workflow, production priorities, and shift handoffs to create consistency across first- and second-shift operations Develop, coach, and hold supervisors and production employees accountable to performance, safety, quality, sanitation, and operational expectations Establish and maintain consistent processes, SOPs, and operating standards while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, quality, and overall team performance Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the production floor and take ownership of resolving operational and personnel challenges Partner cross-functionally with operations, quality, and other facility teams to support production needs and overall facility goals Maintain compliance with applicable food-safety requirements, company policies, regulatory standards, and manufacturing procedures Support the introduction, scale-up, and production of new products and SKUs
Required Skills: 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, production, cannabis manufacturing, or a similar regulated environment preferred Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of 10+ employees Experience leading production teams across multiple shifts and creating consistency between shifts Proven ability to develop employees and supervisors, establish accountability, and improve team performance Strong understanding of production schedules, quality standards, sanitation, safety, and operational controls Ability to balance hands-on floor leadership with planning, problem-solving, communication, and administrative responsibilities Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment Cannabis industry experience is a plus but is not required; candidates from food manufacturing, commercial kitchens, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, or other regulated production environments are encouraged to apply
