Sr. Building Inspection Technician (TS clearance) : 202980

Pay: 70.00-80.00 per hour Onsite: Winchester, VAMonday- Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm We are looking for a highly experienced Sr. Building Inspection Technician with an active TS Clearance to oversee QA/QC for a critical federal project in Winchester, VA. If you have over 7 years of construction inspection experience and deep expertise in commercial roofing systems, we want you on our team. This is a full-time, fully onsite position offering premium hourly compensation for a professional dedicated to structural integrity, safety, and strict compliance.

Key Responsibilities: • Plan & Spec Compliance: Review approved shop drawings, construction plans, and specifications to inspect active work against contract documents and verify compliance.• Daily Reporting: Prepare a comprehensive daily field report documenting work status, daily activities, manpower, equipment, and field observations.• Deficiency Tracking: Maintain a continuous record of construction deficiencies and punch list items to ensure proper resolution.• Documentation & Data: Take photographs of major construction activities and manage a detailed database organized by date, subject matter, and file name.• Resource Verification: Verify the exact quantities of work performed, materials used, and the adequacy of the contractor’s resources.• Financial Oversight: Review and verify time and materials expense reports from the construction contractor as required.• Risk Management: Proactively notify the Construction Project Manager of potential construction or engineering problems.• Team Collaboration: Attend scheduled progress meetings to report on construction quality and milestones.

Qualifications: • Experience: 7+ years of experience in the construction industry as a Construction Inspector, Quality Assurance (QA) professional, or Construction Manager.• Roofing Expertise: Demonstrated working knowledge of commercial roofing systems design, assembly, and installation.• Clearance & Citizenship: Active TS (Top Secret) clearance is highly preferred. US Citizenship is strictly required due to federal project constraints.• Detail-Oriented: Exceptional capability in maintaining meticulous documentation, photo databases, and deficiency logs.
