Environmental Lead

Overview In this role you lead Chromalloy’s environmental remediation and sustainability programs globally, acting as the subject matter expert for risk management, remediation strategy, and ESG reporting. You’ll drive strategies, manage regulators and stakeholders, and oversee teams of consultants to ensure compliance and successful project execution. The position supports Chromalloy’s mission of environmental stewardship and a more sustainable future for aviation and power generation. This hybrid role requires proximity to a Chromalloy facility and up to 30% travel. Responsibilities Lead environmental remediation and sustainability programs across global operations Serve as SME for environmental remediation, ESG initiatives, and sustainability reporting Develop remediation strategies, manage risks, and drive closure plans with regulators Manage environmental consultants and contractors for project execution and regulatory compliance Develop budgets and support financial forecasting for remediation programs Support implementation of sustainability strategy and long-term ESG objectives Drive energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction, and GHG performance projects Develop sustainability metrics, reporting processes, and assurance readiness Lead development and publication of the annual ESG report Support external stakeholder communications related to ESG performance Partner with sites to set sustainability objectives and improvement plans Monitor regulations and industry best practices and assess impacts Contribute to continual improvement of EH&S management system, policies, and training Key requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field 10+ years of environmental remediation, compliance, or sustainability program experience Proven success managing complex remediation projects with regulator engagement and closure strategies Experience managing budgets, consultants, and multiple projects Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, remediation processes, and risk management Experience supporting sustainability, ESG, or environmental performance initiatives Strong technical writing, regulatory reporting, and document review skills Proficiency with environmental, EH&S, utility, or ESG reporting systems and data analysis tools Ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across sites and functions Stakeholder influence and collaboration Strong communication and technical writing Cross-site coordination and teamwork Environmental risk assessment Remediation project managementESG reporting systems and data analysis tools
