Estimator - Commercial Glass

Role Description: The Estimator – Commercial Glass is a full-time, on-site role based in Kent, WA. This role is responsible for preparing detailed estimates and bids for commercial glass and glazing projects, including reviewing architectural plans, specifications, and addenda to identify scope and materials. Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity takeoffs, requesting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotes, and developing accurate cost proposals that align with project budgets and timelines. The estimator collaborates closely with project managers, the field team, and customers to clarify project requirements, support bid presentations, and assist with project handoff once a job is awarded. The role also involves maintaining estimating records, updating cost databases, and contributing to process improvements to support efficient and competitive bidding.

Qualifications: Construction Estimating and Budgeting skills for preparing accurate takeoffs, cost analyses, and competitive bids. Project Management and Communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients and support project handoff. Knowledge of commercial building components, including Roofs and other envelope systems, with the ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings. Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and general computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, and email tools).Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment. Experience in commercial glass, glazing, or construction estimating preferred; equivalent construction experience considered. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training or a degree in construction management or a related field is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Kent, WA, collaborate with a diverse team, and maintain a professional, safety-focused approach.
