Summary:
  • We are seeking a Part-Time driver/warehouse assistant to join our receiving team. This role will perform all functions withing the department.
  • Requires weekday availability (ideally M - W- Th from 8am - 4pm) and weekends in November and December. Employee ownership share allocated after 1 year of employment.
  • Deliver & Pick Up Transfers/OrdersDrive merchandise to other store locations, unloading and reloading with transferDeliver customer furniture orders according to company guidelinesOccasionally pick up supplies/orders from local storesCommunicate any problems to the Receiving Manager immediately
  • Assist Receiving Merchandise
  • Assist in carrying and organizing daily shipments to the receiving area
  • Unpack, organize, and divide product according to specifications
  • Offload shipping containers, delivery vehicles
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area
  • WarehouseAssist in pulling min/max quantities
  • Assist in efficiently organizing and categorizing backstock to prevent damages
  • Stay familiar with where items are located in warehouse
  • Prepare Store Transfers
  • Prepare merchandise to be transferred to other store locations
  • Package transfer merchandise to minimize damages
  • Lead team in loading merchandise in transfer vehicle
  • Deliver & Pick Up Transfers/OrdersDrive merchandise to other store locations, unloading and reloading with transferDeliver customer furniture orders according to company guidelinesOccasionally pick up supplies/orders from local storesCommunicate any problems to the Receiving Manager immediately
  • Price Merchandise
  • Price merchandise, according to store guidelines/sample
  • Report damages/defects
Misc. Follow all safety policies and security procedures Assist at the stores as needed with backstocking, transfer assistance, inventory etc. Assist in special projects, maintenance, clean-up and reorganization as needed React quickly to fast-paced, ever-changing retail environment
Requirements: Attention to detail and ability to move up to 40 pounds, ability to stand for extended periods of time, bending/lifting/carrying.
