Engineering ServicesHighway, Street, and Bridge ConstructionOther Heavy and Civil Engineering ConstructionTransportation BIM/CAD Manager📍 Pittsburgh, PA (On-site) | 💰 $80,000-$180,000 DOEJoin our Digital Practice team as a Transportation Digital Delivery Manager, supporting the successful delivery of highway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects through advanced CAD/BIM standards, digital workflows, and design technology. This is a highly technical, high-impact role focused on improving project quality, efficiency, consistency, and digital delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead digital delivery for highway, bridge, and transportation infrastructure projects from kickoff through final submission. Develop, implement, and maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, workflows, and best practices. Support project teams with BIM execution planning, file/model management, and digital delivery requirements. Provide technical leadership for Bentley technologies, including Open Roads Designer, Open Bridge Designer, and Project Wise. Administer Project Wise environments, including project setup, workspaces, permissions, and standards compliance. Audit projects for compliance with company, client, and agency standards. Develop workflow improvements, tools, training programs, onboarding materials, and documentation. Mentor transportation and CAD/BIM staff while partnering with IT and leadership on technology initiatives and software management.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in transportation design, digital delivery, CAD/BIM production, or engineering consulting environments. Strong background in highway, bridge, or transportation infrastructure projects. Hands-on experience with CAD/BIM standards, workflows, and project delivery. Advanced experience with: Bentley Open Roads Designer Open Bridge Designer Project Wise Understanding of transportation project delivery, including roadway/bridge design, plan production, drainage, utility coordination, digital submissions, and CAD/BIM compliance. Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Education & Experience:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Transportation, CAD, or a related technical field preferred.10+ years of experience preferred, though strong candidates with relevant transportation and digital delivery expertise will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
PennDOT or Pennsylvania transportation project experience. Project Wise administration and workspace configuration. CAD/BIM standards implementation across large teams. AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, ArcGIS, LiDAR, geospatial data, or transportation agency experience (FDOT, NCDOT, ODOT, WVDOH, NYSDOT).Experience with automation, scripting, Bentley workspace development, and federal infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a transportation technology professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, driving process improvements, and helping engineering teams leverage digital tools to deliver better project outcomes.
