Travel PACU Registered Nurse - $1,960 per week

Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of critical care, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA); active professional nursing license required for submission.

Float: Float rotation may be required.

Additional Information: Provides care in preoperative and post-anesthesia recovery areas, including Phase I and Phase II recovery. Patient assignments may include a 1:1 ratio for pediatric or unstable patients and a 2:1 ratio for other patients. Common cases include orthopedic procedures, total joint and spine procedures, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, urology, and endoscopy. Experience with ventilators, high-flow oxygen, bilevel positive airway pressure, and continuous positive airway pressure is required. Intensive care patients may recover in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Registered Nurses are expected to interpret cardiac rhythm strips. Charge responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Night call is required one night per week from 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Weekend call is required approximately every sixth weekend, with day and night call coverage. Holiday call may be required for two holidays annually, with 24-hour coverage. Call response time is 30 minutes. Orientation primarily occurs in the preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) areas. Blue scrubs are required, with organization-provided scrubs used during designated activities.
