Robert Half is partnering with a well-established boutique law firm in the North Shore suburbs of Chicago to identify a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking sophisticated estate planning work, direct client interaction, and mentorship in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents
- Advise clients on estate planning, tax minimization, asset protection, and wealth transfer strategies
- Handle trust and estate administration matters, including asset collection, valuation, and distribution
- Prepare federal and state gift and estate tax returns
- Represent clients in probate proceedings and related matters
- Conduct legal research and stay current on developments in trusts and estates law
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on sophisticated estate planning and administration matters
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois 2+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters
- Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple matters while providing exceptional client service
