Responsible for educating the public on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness and other health-related issues. Location of work might include any combination of outpatient clinic; recreational facility, school, or university treatment headquarters; or at practice or game sites.What you will do* Builds trusting collaborative relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs. Collaborates appropriately with other disciplines to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Participates in care team meeting.* Participates positively in the training and support of all team members, volunteers and students as needed. Proactively participates in and provides feedback to team members/learners.* Demonstrates the ability to perform the following functions regarding athletic injuries: prevention, assessment, treatment, and reconditioning as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC).* Demonstrates consistent fiscal accountability by providing recommendations and participating in supply utilization changes that support cost containment. Participates and provides feedback in new equipment/product evaluations; identifies and recommends solutions for cost savings and waste reduction.* Promotes a healthy community through participation in educational offerings, pre-season physicals, screenings, health fairs, and other health promotion opportunities.* Demonstrates the ability to design and implement prevention programs and the ability to provide appropriate injury recognition, evaluation, and immediate care.
