Farm Equipment Mechanic Helper

Job Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance tasks on tractors, movers, harvesters, and other sod-related machinery. Clean and lubricate equipment components. Inspect belts, hoses, filters, and other parts for wear & tear. Help with minor repairs, such as replacing worn-out blades or adjusting settings. Equipment Repair: Support mechanics in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues. Hand tools & parts to mechanics during repairs. Learn basic repair techniques & gain familiarity with common equipment problems. Inventory Management: Keep track of spare parts, tools, and supplies. Assist in organizing the workshop and maintaining an inventory system. Help order replacement parts as needed. Field Assistance: Accompany equipment operators to the field during sod harvesting & installation. Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and adjustments. Be prepared to troubleshoot minor issues during field operations. Safety & Cleanliness: Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times. Keep work areas clean and organized. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly. Documentation: Maintain records of maintenance tasks, repairs, and equipment usage. Assist in documenting equipment specifications and serial numbers. Valid driver's license. Position does not require travel to other Duda & Sons offices or locations. Work is completed at the Cocoa Ranch shop/location. Have their own tools.

Requirements: The applicant must pass a physical, drug test, and a background check and must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship.
