Essential responsibilities include:
- Removing, cleaning, servicing, and replacing various aircraft components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions.
- Recovering all aircraft seats and armrests.
- Servicing all aircraft emergency equipment to specifications.
- Performing the duties of and providing necessary training for lower skill levels.
- Maintaining and storing various tools in a serviceable condition.
- Adhering to safe maintenance practices and keeping a clean work area.
- Maintaining and supplying personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department.
- Ability to work weekends and 1st or 2nd shift, required.
- Successfully completing any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department.
- Performing any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.
- Job specifications include:
- Proper use of safety equipment.
- Use of drill motor and drill.
- Use of rivet gun and set.
- Remove and reinstall interior panels, insulation, floor panels, door thresholds, cockpit seats, cabin seats, overhead bins, cabin window shades, original carpet, original moonwalk, door slides and covers, life rafts, non-skid material, stewardess seat, air grills, seat covers, DATO panels and Mylar.
- Install emergency equipment, dump lavatory, service lavatory, fill potable water, disinfect lavatory, clean interior of aircraft.
- Operation of Reader Printer.
- General knowledge of ATA codes and F.A.R.'s and company policies and procedures.
- General knowledge of all paperwork procedures including job cards/time cards, routine/non-routine cards, S.R.M.'s, service bulletins and work sign-off/sell-off procedures.
Job qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED required. FAA Airframe License required, Powerplant preferred.6 months minimum experience in heavy commercial maintenance C and D checks.
