ABOUT THE ROLE: Lula is bringing on an in-house, full-time HVAC technician. Today, our HVAC service and installation work is handled by a network of trusted local pros. This is a new, direct role on our team, with the opportunity to grow into more markets as we expand the program.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Complete HVAC service, repair, and installation/replacement jobs across the Greensboro, NC (covering Charlotte) area, dispatched through Lula’s platform.
  • Manage your own daily schedule, including rescheduling and picking up same-day work as it comes in.
  • Communicate job status, delays, and parts needs clearly with our dispatch team.
  • Represent Lula’s quality standard directly with residents and property managers.
  • Maintain your own vehicle and tools in safe, professional working condition. WHAT YOU BRING
  • Master Mechanical License required.
  • EPA Universal or Type II certification (refrigerant handling) required.
  • Strong residential service background with experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential systems: gas splits, heat pumps, furnaces, etc.
  • Experience as a licensed HVAC technician, with the ability to pull permits in the required Greensboro, NC (covering Charlotte) Metro counties.
  • High school diploma or GED; HVAC trade school or apprenticeship training preferred.
  • Your own van/truck and your own tools (Lula supplies all parts and materials for jobs).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. You’ll be operating your own vehicle for work.
  • A strong track record of customer satisfaction and low callback rates.
  • Comfortable working independently with support from a local manager, not day-to-day in-person supervision.
  • Experience with MeasureQuick or a similar digital diagnostic platform is a plus. NATE certification is also a plus.
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening prior to start.
  • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. PHYSICAL DEMANDS & SCHEDULE
  • This is a physically demanding, hands-on field role: regularly lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs, working in attics and crawlspaces, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in extreme heat and cold.
  • Full system replacements will be part of job scope. We can provide additional labor help as needed for installs.
  • Full-time schedule with rotating on-call availability for emergency no-heat/no-cool calls, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

  • Base salary: $100,000.
