About the Role
Location: Seattle, WA
Job Title: Supply Quality and Safety Advisor
Key Responsibilities:
Professional Expertise - Leverage breadth of technical expertise to identify and translate details into appropriate insights and actions to support the business. Develop, implement, and monitor product safety and quality programs and standards and advise others on those programs. Business Acumen & Problem Solving - Utilize a solution-oriented mindset and apply analytical thought to proactively address complex problems and identify innovative solutions, leveraging a thorough understanding of business dynamics to inform recommendations. Think outside the box and makes decisions informed by data and insights. Remain current on product safety & quality industry trends, engage with suppliers and outside experts to build momentum for key initiatives. Prioritization & Planning: Develop comprehensive plans for complex projects and programs. Identify key hurdles and criteria for success. Collaborate and influence cross-functionally. Effectively communicate recommendations and decisions to stakeholders and leaders. Create standards, procedures and tools to leverage to assure that suppliers & facilities meet requirements. Implement SQ&PS training & programs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in consumer product regulatory and product safety under the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Food & Drug Administration (food contact materials), and state regulations.
- Experience with substantiation of product claims under the Federal Trade Commission, and capability to research, interpret, and provide guidance requirements for product claims.
- Consumer product regulatory knowledge in Canada and other global markets is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge in consumer product labeling and packaging requirements is necessary.
- Salary and Other Compensation:
- The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
