Freight Transportation ArrangementAll Other Support Activities for TransportationPacking and CratingImport/Export ClerkWe are seeking a detail-oriented Import/Export Clerk to support customers with freight quotes, shipment coordination, order processing, and sales support. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare freight quotes and assist with pricing based on customer requirements
- Communicate with customers regarding rates, shipment details, schedules, and service options
- Process orders and shipment requests accurately
- Coordinate import and export shipments, including ocean, air, and ground freight as applicable
- Coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to ensure efficient shipment handling
- Track shipments and provide customers with status updates and documentation
- Follow up on quotes, customer inquiries, and pending shipments
- Maintain accurate customer, shipment, and pricing information
- Assist with import/export documentation, shipment requirements, and coordination with customs or other service providers
- Assist with customer service, sales follow-up, and general administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, inside sales, or customer service
- Experience with freight quoting, import/export shipping, or shipment coordination is preferred
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with TMS, ERP, or CRM systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
