The role partners with campus stakeholders to create budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare clear management reporting that informs resource allocation.
Job Duties:
Provide support to management and stakeholders throughout the Budget development process.
Support the Tuition and Fees planning cycle/process and maintain the tuition and fees master schedule.
Maintain financial management reporting/dashboards.
Work with budget managers to monitor financial results throughout the year.
Respond to the various budget and financial inquiries from across campus.
Train users on the various financial and budgeting tools.
Complete necessary accounting and budgeting entries throughout year.
Complete the annual Endowment draw calculation and serve as the main contact for endowed fund fiscal management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Demonstrated experience working in a financial support capacity (Accounting, budget and/or financial analysis).Experience working with Data Visualization and financial management tools.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Ability to sit or remain stationary for extended periods of time.
Understands and appreciates the Christ centered mission of Samford University.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree.
Data analytics skills.
Experience with Power BI.
