Geospatial Analyst | Mapping Support Pro Sidian is seeking a Geospatial Analyst | Mapping Support. This is a contract contingent or contract W-2 (IRS-1099) mapping support functional area - energy technical consulting position; however, Pro Sidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time Pro Sidian employed W-2 position. Provide services and support as an Energy Technical Consulting (Geospatial Analyst) in the Energy, Science, and Technology Research Industry Sector focusing on business process solutions for clients such as the Department of Energy (DOE | OP) | DOE Office of Policy (OP) generally located in CONUS - Washington DC and across the Mid Atlantic Region supporting a branch of DOE that leverages science and technology to address energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges, advancing climate and energy policies through strategic studies and policy analysis supporting analytical capabilities. Responsibilities and duties include analyzing geospatial data to evaluate energy infrastructure, supply chains, and market impacts. Update and validate geospatial data, ensuring accurate mapping of energy facilities and infrastructure. Provide public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting and report development, data tracking tools, workforce policy analysis and convening, as well as energy market economic and regulatory analysis technical consulting services and support for the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Policy (OP). These services enable mission objectives involved with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
Qualifications: Desired qualifications for Geospatial Analyst | Mapping Support candidates include expertise in their respective field, with experience in energy, policy, and technical consulting. Candidates must possess domain expertise, technical proficiency, and experience in related fields. Education/experience requirements typically include a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
