Sr. Tax Accountant

Responsibilities: Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individual clients, S corporations, and partnerships with a high degree of accuracy. Manage a substantial workload of tax engagements while meeting filing deadlines and maintaining quality standards. Apply current tax law knowledge to identify reporting requirements, resolve issues, and support compliant return preparation. Analyze financial records and supporting documentation to ensure complete and accurate tax reporting. Use CCH ProSystem Fx and Microsoft Excel to organize tax data, prepare workpapers, and complete return processing efficiently. Communicate with internal stakeholders or client contacts to clarify missing information and address tax-related questions. Review completed returns for inconsistencies, calculation errors, and documentation gaps before finalization. At least 5 years of tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm or similar accounting environment. Demonstrated expertise preparing individual, S corporation, and partnership tax returns. Strong understanding of applicable tax regulations and filing requirements across multiple return types. Proven ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Hands-on experience with CCH ProSystem Fx is strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for organizing data, reviewing details, and supporting tax preparation activities. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver work within established deadlines.
