A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our production facility in Cleveland. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our high standards of food safety and product quality. You will monitor the end-to-end production process—from the moment raw ingredients arrive until the finished product is ready for shipment. Key Responsibilities: Data Tracking & Record Keeping: Accurately record plant data for raw material receiving, daily sanitation procedures (SSOPs), Critical Control Points (CCPs), pasteurizer temperatures, scale calibrations, and pest control. Testing & Analysis: Perform essential QA tests including pH level testing, water activity, titrations, product weights, and sensory/organoleptic evaluations. Inspections & Compliance: Conduct daily pre-op inspections (including swabbing) and monitor processes against Preventive Control Requirements. Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across the processing room, warehouse, and storage coolers. Team Collaboration & Support: Support the QA Manager with data filing, instrument calibration, yearly audits, and plant associate training. Instruct and guide floor employees on correcting any operational or sanitation deficiencies. Sample Prep: Prepare laboratory samples according to strict facility requirements.
Qualifications & Skills: Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills to manage and resolve issues as they arise during a typical workday. Efficiency: Ability to multi-task and maintain high accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact positively with all company departments. Technical Savvy: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Work Environment Requirements: Must be comfortable working in a cold production environment with temperatures averaging around 45°F.Shift is Monday - Friday 5am - 1:30pm (some Saturday overtime)
