Job Description Systems Integration Engineer As a Systems Integration Engineer, the successful candidate will design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systems by reviewing and approving device transmittals, developing vehicle-level logical schematics, conducting design/compatibility reviews, defining fusing and grounding strategies, supporting system-level validation/diagnostics, providing technical support for prototype and pre-production builds. You will also perform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration files, performing configuration, commanding and analyzing self-test results, and performing functional tests.
- Design electrical schematics
- Perform system level tests at Breadboard
- Support prototype vehicle builds
- Support launch build events
- Troubleshoot system level issues Skills Required:
- Electrical Engineering – Must have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or Master's).
- Systems Engineering – Must have prior experience with systems engineering, meaning, be. Ability to design, test and troubleshoot systems were multiple stand-alone electrical and electronic components are connected to work together.
- Electrical Wiring – Must know how to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Root Cause Analysis – Must demonstrate the ability to understand causal effects and establish a structured approach to identify and validate potential causes for that undesirable behavior. Experience
Required:
- Design/Develop program specific electrical system schematics
- Support electrical device transmittal process: BSEM GDT Set-up, Create DT Status Report
- Develop program specific system FMEA and DVP (Validation Plans) Prototype Breadboards (parts list development & sign-off, validation, sign-off) Prototype Vehicle Builds (Yellowboard software flashing and configuration, functional sign-off, & troubleshooting)
- Lead compatibility reviews to verify all module and wiring interfaces
- Support builds at production plant Experience Preferred:
- Electrical schematics design
- CAN Network
- ECU software flashing and diagnostics
- Root Cause Analysis Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree Education Preferred:
- Master's Degree Additional Information : Hybrid (4 days per week in the office / Can be 5-6 days depending on prototype and launch build needs.) Engineers working on the design phase are required to be in the office 4 days a week.
