Medical Laboratory Technician

MorningStar Senior Management LLC is seeking a Med Tech to support our residents through accurate, timely diagnostic testing in a warm, faith-inspired community. In this role, you’ll collect and process specimens, run routine and stat tests, and operate lab and point-of-care equipment while maintaining strict quality, safety, and infection-control standards. You’ll collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and providers to support care plans and communicate results clearly. Perform routine and stat laboratory tests accurately and efficiently for senior living residents Collect, prepare, and process blood, urine, and other specimens following proper protocols Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers and point-of-care testing equipment Verify, document, and report test results to nurses and providers in a timely manner Follow infection control, quality control, and safety procedures at all times Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation to meet regulatory and community standards Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, and physicians to support resident care plans Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and families about procedures Assist with inventory, ordering, and proper storage of lab supplies and reagents Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and performance improvement initiatives Phlebotomy Specimen collection and handling Clinical laboratory testing Point-of-care testing (POCT) Operation of lab analyzers Quality control and documentation Infection control procedures Electronic medical records (EMR) use Medical terminology Regulatory compliance (CLIA/OSHA) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Technician (CMT) or equivalent state credential (preferred) Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred) Phlebotomy certification (preferred)
