Generator Technician

Type: Full Time, Entry Level

Basic responsibilities include: Automatic generator installation Automatic generator maintenance and repair Taking customer payments on site Properly filling out work orders Filing warranty claims when needed The following experience/knowledge is required: Working knowledge of electrical theory and electrical code Basic mechanical understanding The following experience/knowledge are preferable but not required: Small and large engine repair Plumbing/gas line experience

Hours: Full Time. Typical working hours are from 7am-3:30pm. Overtime occasional available at time and a half rate. As a generator contractor, we are required to provide 24/7/365 service for our customers. As a technician you will be placed on an after-hours emergency generator service rotation. When on call, you will be required to take emergency calls and occasionally make emergency repair home visits. Although our technicians rarely have to make middle-of-the-night service calls, it is an essential benefit available to our customers. You will be paid double time for any after-hours site visits.
