$125k - $135k plus bonusA prestigious luxury consumer products company is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant to join its growing finance team. Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of inventory accounting, including valuation, reconciliations, and reserve calculations. Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of inventory balances across multiple locations and business channels. Oversee and reconcile physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory adjustments. Analyze inventory trends and develop detailed variance analyses and management commentaries for senior leadership. Assist with product costing and maintain accurate standard costs. Perform margin and profitability analysis by product line, channel, and business segment. Partner with operations, supply chain, and merchandising teams to ensure inventory accuracy and effective controls. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to inventory and cost accounting. Identify process improvement opportunities and help strengthen inventory controls and reporting. Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation related to inventory balances and transactions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on inventory accounting and analysis. Demonstrated experience with inventory valuation, reserves, reconciliations, costing, and inventory controls. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, explain variances, and present findings to senior management. Experience working within organizations that have multiple revenue streams, such as retail, e-commerce, wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing environments, strongly preferred.
