Quality Assurance Technician

Pay: $18.00 /hour + attendance bonus opportunities

Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for a 2nd-shift opportunity with a Sandusky food product manufacturer. You'll work both on the production floor and with quality-testing processes to make sure ingredients, in-process products, and finished goods meet established safety and quality standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable with documentation and basic computer work, and interested in building hands-on quality assurance experience in food manufacturing.

What You'll Do: Inspect and evaluate ingredients, in-process products, and finished goods Perform routine quality tests and product evaluations Complete quality checks and audits throughout the production floor Collect samples for required testing Document test and inspection results accurately Enter quality data into computer systems and spreadsheets Identify and separate products that don't meet established specifications Communicate quality concerns to production employees and supervisors Complete product release and quality-control documentation Perform routine equipment calibration Assist with product shelf-life testing Follow established food-safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary testing and work areas Support continuous improvement, product quality, and workplace safety initiatives

Strong candidates will have: Excellent attention to detail Strong organization and recordkeeping skills Basic computer and data-entry proficiency Ability to accurately follow testing procedures and specifications Comfortable working in both production and quality environments Ability to communicate quality concerns clearly Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to work independently while supporting a production team Willingness to learn food-quality and testing procedures Ability to work occasional Saturdays as needed Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, food production, laboratory work, manufacturing inspection, testing, or documentation-focused manufacturing may help you stand out.
