Sound Dampening Tile InstallerAvail Staffing is seeking experienced Sound Dampening Tile Installers to support work aboard naval vessels in the Hampton Roads area. Candidates will be responsible for installing acoustic/sound dampening tiles and related insulation materials in accordance with shipyard specifications, blueprints, and NAVSEA standards. All levels of experience with SDT are encouraged to apply. Pay rate is commensurate with experience level.ResponsibilitiesInstall sound dampening/acoustic tiles and insulation systems aboard naval vesselsMeasure, cut, fit, and secure materials to bulkheads, overheads, and deck surfacesPrepare surfaces for installation by cleaning, grinding, or applying adhesives as requiredEnsure all installations meet NAVSEA and shipyard quality standardsUtilize hand and power tools safely and effectivelyMaintain clean and organized work areas onboard vesselsFollow all PPE, confined space, and shipyard safety protocolsQualificationsPrevious experience installing sound dampening/acoustic tiles in marine, shipyard, or industrial environments preferredExperience with adhesives, insulation materials, and cutting/layout toolsComfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and aboard shipsMust be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environmentsStrong commitment to safety and quality workmanshipWhy Join UsSteady Shipyard WorkCompetitive Weekly PayOpportunity for Long-Term EmploymentWork with Established Naval Contractors
