Video Editor (DaVinci Resolve)

Our content explores how modern technology shapes everyday life — from consumer tech and AI to creative workflows and business innovation. What started as a You Tube channel has evolved into a broader platform focused on thoughtful, engaging, and high-quality storytelling. We are now looking for a Video Editor who is highly proficient in DaVinci Resolve and understands both narrative-driven You Tube content and platform-native short-form storytelling.

The Opportunity: This is not a high-volume, low-quality editing role. We are looking for an editor who can balance: Strong storytelling and pacing Modern social media instincts Tasteful, intentional editing (not over-edited or gimmicky)Important: This role is built entirely around DaVinci Resolve workflows — candidates must be fully comfortable operating at a high level within Resolve. What You'll Own Long-Form You Tube Content Edit 1–3 high-quality You Tube videos per week Shape narrative flow, pacing, and structure Ensure content is engaging, cohesive, and aligned with the brand voice Short-Form Content (Reels, Tik Tok, Shorts)Create 1–3 minute vertical edits Build and maintain a backlog for daily posting Optimize edits per platform (Tik Tok, Instagram, You Tube Shorts)Creative Contribution Identify and enhance storytelling moments Suggest improvements in pacing, structure, and delivery Apply trends thoughtfully without over-editing Collaboration & Workflow Work within remote editing systems (Slack, Frame.io, Lucid Link)Manage large media files efficiently Communicate clearly and consistently with the team Editing Style Expectations Not cinematic/film-style Not hyperactive "MrBeast-style"Instead: Clean Intentional Story-first Social-native You should understand how to retain attention without overwhelming the viewer.

Requirements: Technical (Non-Negotiable)2+ years of professional editing experience using DaVinci Resolve Must be fully comfortable editing end-to-end projects in Resolve (not just basic cuts)Strong understanding of: Timelines, nodes, color workflows, and exports within Resolve Must be using an Apple Silicon Mac (M1/M2/M3 or newer)High-speed internet for large file transfers Creative & Strategic Strong understanding of: You Tube retention and pacing Short-form engagement dynamics Ability to: Build a compelling narrative arc Edit with personality and taste Balance creativity with restraint Soft Skills Detail-oriented and organized Strong communicator (clear, proactive, honest)Open to feedback and iteration Reliable in a remote environment
