Licensed Practical Nurse

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality bedside care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The LPN supports RNs and providers by administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs, and documenting care accurately in the EHR. Deliver compassionate bedside nursing care under RN and provider direction Administer medications and treatments per LPN scope and hospital policy Monitor and document vital signs, patient status, and responses to care in the EHR Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education to promote safe transitions Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care plans and quality outcomes Maintain infection prevention, safety, and regulatory compliance standards Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to support patient-centered care Medication administration Wound care Vital signs monitoring Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation IV therapy (per state scope) Patient assessment Care planning support Infection prevention and control Patient and family education Basic life support (BLS) Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active LPN license in state of practice Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification IV therapy certification (as required by state/hospital) Prior acute care or similar clinical experience preferred
