Psychiatrist – Adult Inpatient

Position: Full‑time. This position is a full‑time attending psychiatrist who will provide psychiatric services primarily at the TMC BHAC inpatient unit. The psychiatrist will lead a multi‑disciplinary team that includes psychiatry residents, medical students, psychologists, nurses, recreational therapists, and medical social workers.

Responsibilities: Provide psychiatric services on the TMC BHAC inpatient unit. Offer occasional supplemental coverage on TMC BHAC and/or TMC Consultation Liaison Service (CL) when staff are on vacation. Act as primary collaborating physician with one or more psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMNHP/APRN) and receive an additional stipend. Possibly rotate as primary TMC CL attending for that teaching service and provide care at NKC BHAC in a hospitalist/non‑teaching role. Participate in the hospital call system, approximately one weekend per month and two additional rotations every three months, with additional pay. Contribute to hospital‑based committees and provide lectures to other medical specialties.

Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited medical school. Complete a residency in psychiatry.
