Production Manager - Die Casting

Automotive parts maker needs a Production Manager to run its day shift die casting department. This position requires a very strong background in die casting processes typical for an automotive parts manufacturer. Your primary goals will be to improve safety, delivery, cost, and quality. With safety first in mind, you will lead continuous improvement, following the principles of the Toyota Production System. Will oversee three supervisors and about 75 machine operators, assemblers, and machinists. Work with Quality to set goals including scrap reduction, reduction in customer complaints, and reporting of non-conformances. Evaluate and improve manpower layout, 5-S standardization, and organization layout. Work with maintenance to improve machine uptime. Provide data driven analyses of manufacturing problems.
