PRODUCTION SANITATION / FORKLIFT -3RD SHIFT

Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: 3rd Shift-8P-6A Travel Percentage: None The purpose of this position is to keep the inside floors clean. Sanitation crew members are responsible for following general cleaning guidelines which are maintained by a cleaning checklist. The primary cleaning duties will include cleaning floors, helping sanitize warehouse space, taking out garbage and other cleaning duties as needed in our main plant. This position will be required to operate a forklift to move pallets. This position will also be cross trained to help in production.

Essential Functions: General cleaning tasks such as operating floor scrubber, general cleaning, and sanitizing Operate electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and forklift Move pallets and help put pallets away with powered equipment Ability to ensure that employee and food safety guidelines are being met Work with chemicals such as Alpet D2 Quat, Tac San Plus and other chemicals as needed Help with packing or dumping on machine lines when needed Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: Must be able to work quickly and accurately Must be able to use cleaning chemicals in a safe and efficient manner Must apply food safety and employee safety guidelines in all performance measures Must be able to lift boxes and or/cleaning supplies frequently and in the safest manner possible Ability to read and write Must be able to accurately complete paperwork Must be able to operate powered equipment in a safe manner Supervisory Responsibility: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to allergens, moving mechanical parts and vibration as well as equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Full time hour schedule is subject to change with or without notice. Mandatory or voluntary overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent desired Previous experience in sanitation is helpful but not required 3-5 years' experience in a production environment ideal Previous experience operating powered equipment helpful but not required.
