Role Description: The Director for the new childcare center in East Dundee, Illinois is a full-time, on-site leadership role located in East Dundee, Illinois. This position is responsible for overseeing daily center operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to licensing and safety regulations. The Director will lead curriculum implementation, maintain high standards of classroom quality, and support teachers in delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. The role includes building strong relationships with families through regular communication, tours, conferences, and resolution of concerns. The Director will manage enrollment, budget oversight, and center resources while promoting The Nest Schools’ mission, values, and culture within the school community.
Qualifications: 3-5 years' experience as a Center Director a must. Training skills to develop, deliver, and evaluate staff professional development, orientation programs, and ongoing compliance training. Prior leadership experience in early childhood education, child care administration, or a closely related field, including staff supervision and performance management. Knowledge of state child care licensing regulations and best practices in health, safety, and child development. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities in a busy center environment. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Nursing, or related field preferred; relevant certifications in CPR, First Aid, and pediatric care are beneficial.
