CDL A Truck Driver

Ultra-Poly is seeking talented individuals to join our Trucking team in Portland, PA. We are hiring full-time CDL A Truck Drivers to deliver finished goods to our customers. We have our own fleet of tractors, trailers, and tankers that allow us to handle our customers' and suppliers' logistics reliably and efficiently. We offer a starting hourly range of $28.00 to $32.00 depending on experience. Ultra-Poly is one of North America's largest and most efficient plastic recyclers. Portland is conveniently located along the Delaware Water Gap and within 30 minutes of Stroudsburg, Easton, Brodheadsville, Mt. Pocono, and Hackettstown, NJ. Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck to prevent damage/injury 2. Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries 3. Assist in mapping driving routes 4. Ensure timely transport and delivery 5. Communicate with dispatch as needed 6. Confirm that the contents of each shipment load match the manifest document 7. Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip 8. Check weather conditions and road reports before departure 9. Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean 10. Maintain and schedule service as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.) 11. Notify the manager of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered 12. Follow the delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times 13. No-touch freight 14. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs 15. Track and report working hours 16. Adhere to company rules and regulations 17. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions 18. Comply with DOT regulations 19. Make safety a priority at all times 20. 2 to 3 overnights a week with per diem 21. Passport a plus CDL A Truck Driver Requirements and Qualifications 1. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) required 2. 3+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred 3. Clean driving record with no moving violations 4. Must pass a background check, physical, and drug test 5. Has or is willing to obtain a passport for runs to Toronto Canada 6. Skilled at driving and parking manual tractors and large, heavy vehicles 7. Alert, focused and detail-oriented 8. Physically and mentally fit 9. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time 10. Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems 11. Map reading and route planning experience 12. Self-starter who works well independently 13. Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful 14. High level of composure and good stress management
