We are evolving from a traditional general contractor into a solutions platform focused on timely proposals, real schedules, preemptive communication, accurate billing and dependable execution.
The opportunity: You are not starting from zero. During your first weeks, the Principal will personally introduce you to CORE’s existing national clients. From there, you become the relationship owner responsible for managing, protecting and growing those accounts. This is a relationship management role with revenue responsibility. The priority is to understand each client’s business, identify expansion opportunities, and be the trusted point of contact when something needs attention. You will also help build the next stage of CORE’s National Accounts function. That includes developing selected new relationships across the Northeast and helping shape the CRM, account strategy and outreach cadence behind a growing book of business. What you’ll own Manage and grow assigned national and regional client accounts. Build relationships with multiple stakeholders inside each account so the partnership does not depend on a single contact. Identify opportunities to expand existing clients into additional locations, services, departments and programs. Take ownership of client escalations and coordinate with internal teams to drive resolution and preserve the relationship. Develop targeted new relationships with multi-unit brands across the Northeast. Maintain an organized CRM and pipeline with accurate stages, clear follow-up and dated next actions. Work closely with Production / Project Management, Estimating and Accounting to support strong client communication and delivery. CORE’s Production team runs the projects and Estimating owns the estimates. Your role is to be the client’s trusted person inside the company.
What we’re looking for: We need someone who combines strong relationship instincts with enough technical exposure to speak credibly with construction and facilities professionals. We are intentionally broad about where that grounding can come from: Construction — project management, estimating, construction management, general contracting or a trade Facilities management — multi-site facilities, capital planning or FM program management Building systems, materials or products — technical sales, specification or manufacturer support Engineering — civil, structural, mechanical, electrical or another built-environment discipline Real estate development — capital projects, owner’s representation or site development Architecture or design-build — where projects were carried into execution Program or project management — particularly multi-location rollouts You do not need to be the Project Manager or estimator. You do need enough technical fluency to understand conversations around schedules, drawings, scopes, RFIs, long-lead items, change orders and project issues. Ideally, you bringA track record of personally managing and growing client accounts Experience in multi-location or multi-site commercial environments Strong executive-facing communication, relationship building and problem solving Experience handling difficult client situations or escalations while protecting the long-term relationship Comfort developing new business through networking, referrals, targeted outreach and industry relationshipsCRM discipline and the ability to work effectively in a growing environment where some processes are still evolvingA valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites, job sites and CORE headquarters as needed Experience with QSR, fast casual, restaurant, retail, hospitality, facilities management, construction programs or platforms such as Service Channel, ResQ or Corrigo is strongly preferred. Compensation & engagement Base compensation: $52,480 plus uncapped commission. First-year on-target earnings are approximately $80,000–$135,000, with roughly $100,000 representing a strong first year. The current engagement structure is independent contractor for year one, converting to W-2 employment at twelve months. Compensation structure does not change on conversion — only the tax treatment. The role is based in the New York metro area and is not fully remote. Client sites, job sites and headquarters visits are required, with relationships managed nationally and delivery expanding through the Northeast corridor.
