Horizontal Directional Drill Operator

Responsibilities: Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment safely and efficiently Perform underground bores for utility installation Read and follow bore plans, utility markings, and job specifications Monitor drilling conditions and make adjustments as needed Assist with proper setup, operation, and breakdown of drilling equipment Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Work closely with locators, equipment operators, and ground crew Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements Help maintain a clean and organized jobsite Assist the crew as needed to complete projects safely and on schedule

Qualifications: Previous HDD/drill operator experience preferred Knowledge of underground utility construction and HDD operations Ability to safely operate construction equipment Ability to troubleshoot basic drilling and equipment issues Must be dependable and able to work well with a crew Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Must be able to perform the physical requirements of underground construction work
