In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator. We are contracted with insurance companies, and we use the estimating software that corresponds with each carrier.
Responsibilities:
Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locationsCollect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specificationsDetermine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costsGather bids and negotiate with subcontractors to secure the best possible pricesCreate and submit estimates to insurance adjustersQualificationsPrevious experience as an Estimator is a mustAbility to work late or on weekends to get estimates submitted on timeStrong mathematical and analytical skillsSkilled in relevant software (Xactimate and Symbility) Excellent writing, and negotiation skillsAbility to write emergency service estimates as well as reconstruction estimates
